Shawn Brackett is among only a select few who have performed a Six-horse Roman Riding Act!

Shawn retired his six-horse act in 2000 following his 1999 performance at the National Finals Rodeo, where he recieved a standing ovation!

The act is no longer performed by anyone today, not in the same manner and style as this act.

The act has been done by several entertainers over the past 100 years, but there is one person who turned this act into a legacy and is still the master today, a lady by the name of Elaine Kramer!

Following Elaine, Leon Adams performed the act with precision and style.  Leon, like Elaine, will always be remembered as an icon who drove a six-horse Roman Riding Team.

In the mid 90s, Stacy Anderson also proved success with a six-horse roman riding team.  Stacy gained much attention for her class and elegance in the arena, prior to retiring the act in the late 90's.

In 1998, Shawn Brackett decided to also attempt a six-horse act.  Having learned to Roman Ride and Trick Ride from the infamous Adams family (Leon and Vicki Adams), shawn was able to gain some helpful insights and advise from one of those who had mastered the act.  One piece of advise was to" go fast!"  That he did!  Shawn was quickly known across the US and Canada for his wild ride aboard two horses driving four more in tandem as they flew at top speeds around the arena!  The act was always exciting and a crowd thriller!  Though one of the best acts in prorodeo, Shawn decided to retire the act following the 2000 season due to the "wheel" teams' soundness and health.  At this time, there isn't another act like it in Pro Rodeo.

UPDATE:

There have been many requests for the act since its retirement, yet none have been accepted until now!  Shawn has accepted an offer to bring the act back for "one last ride" in 2011.   Shawn has just began to retrain the act inorder  to perform the masterpiece next January (2011)  at one of the most infamous and prestigous rodeos in the United States.  The act will be presented 30 performances and then once again retired!
